The LAREA studio in Tbilisi in the evening

Studio

Layer by layer. By hand. In Georgia.

About us

LAREA is a small Georgian studio. We make lamps and objects for the home, printed layer by layer from plant-based material and assembled by hand.

01

Design

We choose and refine each form so the light falls through it evenly and softly.

02

Printed layer by layer

Hundreds of fine layers soften the light. A shade takes several hours to print.

03

Assembled by hand

We finish every part by hand, fit the cable and bulb holder, and test each lamp before it reaches you.

Material

We print with PLA, a plant-based plastic made from corn starch. Each lamp goes through three steps.
